As a liaison librarian, I serve as a single point of contact for library services and instruction on finding reliable information. I provide research support in the form of database searches, systematic reviews, and assistance with bibliographic citation tools. I am able to provide instruction to faculty, staff, residents/fellows and students. I also serve as the Associate Director of Liaison Services and supervise the three liaison librarians who provide services to the UT Health SA schools.
I am graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Health Education and I received my M.S. in Library Science with a specialization in Health Informatics from the University of North Texas.
I have been at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio since 1989 and have been a librarian at the Briscoe Library since 2007. Previously, I held administrative positions in the Department of Family & Community Medicine and the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics, Gerontology, & Palliative Medicine.
