Briscoe Library is pleased to announce its 2nd Annual Image of Research Photography Competition! This competition is an opportunity for UT Health San Antonio students, residents, and fellows from all five schools to capture, share, and present the essence of their research in a single visual image. The competition and its accompanying exhibition showcase students’ creative visual conceptualization of their research.
After the success of last year’s competition, the library plans to continue the Image of Research each year in the spring. For 2019, submissions will be accepted from February 18th through March 18th. The awards are listed as follows:
1st Place: $400
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $200

Installed on the library’s art wall in January, The Art of Heart exhibit by local physician-artist Miguel Vazquez will be on display through February.
Exhibit pieces featuring the heart include:

In an effort to highlight Briscoe Library’s study spaces and help students find their perfect spot, the library has introduced new banners on each of the 4 floors. These banners provide a brief description of the floor’s environment along with the expected noise levels. Come on in and find your space!

To support our faculty’s research efforts, Briscoe Library has added an additional feature to our monthly newsletter. You are now able to view citations and link to articles from our UT Health Faculty Publications list. As an added feature, altmetric information is also included. This list is produced monthly by our Library Liaison group who can also provide further assistance with scholarly publication efforts. If you do not see your publication listed, you can provide us with the proper citation information by completing this form.
