If you don't see the EndNote toolbar in Microsoft Word, do the following:
EndNote offers a Cite While You Write plugin for Word and GoogleDocs. The plugin is automatically added to Word when you install EndNote and adds an EndNote toolbar that allows you to add citations to your document while you write.
To add a citation:
EndNote will automatically begin building your bibliography as you insert citations. The bibliography will appear at the end of your document and will automatically update as you add citations to match the correct citation style and include all in-text citaitons.
The toolbar may look different on different operating systems and versions of Word. Hovering your mouse over the toolbar will pop up each button's function if they're not clearly labeled.

EndNote 21 now works with Google Docs! To install the EndNote toolbar for Google Docs, follow the instructions on this page.
You will need to be sure and create an EndNote account and sync your library. If you have not already done this, you can do so by going to Edit > Settings (EndNote 21 > Settings on Mac), then choose Sync, and clicking Enable Sync
EndNote comes with the most common bibliographic styles. Download other styles from the EndNote website.
To install a style:
This should open EndNote and import the new style, which will now appear in the EndNote output styles list.
