Editing 3D Models with Meshmixer

This guide will teach basic editing of 3D models using Meshmixer.

Step 6: Create holes as needed using the Meshmixer menu

  • Click on the Meshmixer menu
  • Choose your shape and drag it from the menu onto your model
  • Click on the white circle to drag the shape to where you want the hole to be
  • Use the Dimension slider to resize the shape
  • Use the Offset menu to sink the shape into the model
  • Set the Composition Mode
  • Boolean Subtract – Will cut the shape out of the model. Use this to make holes.
  • Boolean Union – Will attach the shape to the model.
  • Click Accept
