Copyright and Fair Use

Adapted from Texas A&M University Central Texas libuguide.

What is the Copyright Clearance Center Annual License?

As part of the University of Texas System, UT Health San Antonio holds an Annual Copyright License from the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC). This license enables affiliates of UT Health San Antonio to reproduce and distribute copyrighted content, in both print and digital form, across campus with confidence that sharing is being done in compliance with copyright laws and UT Health San Antonio guidelines.

The important thing to note is that the Copyright Clearance License only covers content that is shared among university affiliates.

Note: Coverage does not include content being used in publications or off-campus presentations.

How do I know what's covered under the CCC Annual License?

RightFind Academic is a site that allows you to check to see if resources are covered by the Annual Copyright License.
