2020 Library Reopening during COVID-19: Library Hours and Other Details

Briscoe Library Hours and Other Details

  • Monday through Friday, 7 am - 8 pm, Saturday & Sunday, 10 am - 6 pm.

  • Card swipe access will be allowed for current students, faculty, and staff only.

  • Closed to the public until further notice.

  • Individual study space will be limited to the 3rd and 4th floors; the 5th floor will remain closed.

  • Bookshelves on the 4th floor will be closed. To avoid transmission of COVID-19, books will not be available for check out.

  • The Nixon Historical Library is closed. For questions about Special Collections contact

  • Limited computing stations will be available in order to limit the use of high-touch surfaces.

  • There will be no printers or scanners available until further notice in order to reduce density, crowding and high-touch surfaces. 

  • Conference rooms and the library computer lab will not be available for reservations.

  • 3rd floor study rooms will be available for reservations, single occupancy only.

  • Resources and services will continue to be delivered virtually. This includes requests to borrow, acquire or deliver electronic materials; research consultations and requests for assistance; instruction; programming. 

  • Library staff will monitor adherence to campus mask and social distance guidelines. 

  • Only designated areas within Briscoe Library will open for individual use. Group gatherings will not be permitted.
