BrowZine: Use Browzine

Get started accessing and using BrowZine on the web or your portable device.

Faculty Can...

  • Embed durable links in Canvas
  • Easily see journal rankings (look for the SJR number next to the journal icon)
  • Download articles to read on the go
  • Access another library if you have borrowing privileges

Request a Journal

For a variety of reasons, even if a journal is in scope, it may not be available through BrowZine.  Here's what you can do:

  1. Check the list of supported publishers
  2. Receive updates on the status of your request directly from BrowZine

Catalog Integration

BrowZine integrates directly into the library's catalog. This means the look and feel of searching for journals has changed. Now, when you search for e-journals, you will:

  • See a subjects and titles list
  • Have the option to add items to your bookshelf
  • Have the option to look for back issues in the catalog

Build a Bookshelf

In the iOS app:

  1. Tap on "BrowZine Library" at the bottom of the screen
  2. Find a journal by subject or title
  3. Click the blue bookshelf icon on the top right of the screen
  4. The bookshelf will open
  5. Pull the journal icon to the appropriate shelf

In the Android app:

  1. Find a journal by subject or title
  2. Open the journal
  3. Click on the menu button in the top right-hand corner of the screen
  4. Select "Add to My Bookshelf"

On the website:

  1. Find a journal you like
  2. Click "add to bookshelf" in the top left corner of the screen

Pro Tips

  • Use your personal email to create an account. It makes your account more portable.
  • Web and mobile bookshelves sync automatically.
  • You can use just the web, or just the app. No need to use both.
  • Will still need to create Interlibrary Loan requests for embargoed or unavailable content.
