If you lost an item of high value such as your wallet or purse, ID or credit cards, laptops, mobile devices, textbooks or books, or keys, you should contact UT Police Lost & Found at 210-567-2800 (extension 1). When these items are found by library staff or turned into staff by other patrons, the Library contacts University Police who pick up the item and log it into the Lost & Found.
If you lost an items of lesser value such as clothing, there are two options:
Option 1
Someone may have placed the found item in the orange Lost & Found Bin just outside the library entrance. Between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, contact library staff by calling 210-567-2440 OR please enter the following information for assistance. Please wait by the kiosk and library staff will be out shortly to assist you. It may take up to 5 minutes for staff to respond.
Option 2
Items may have been turned into the Warehouse. You can call the Warehouse at 210-567-6025 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to inquire about the lost item.
If you lost a water bottle or lunch bag or food containers, please check on the floor under the microwave table just inside the library entrance doors on the 3rd Floor next to the door for the Bowden Conference Room. Library staff and/or other library patrons place these types of items there.
Food containers that contain food are generally disposed of due to potential health issues.
