What SRs Do

Summarize the results of available studies

  • Works from an explicit, reproducible, and predetermined methodology
  • Answers one, clearly defined, research question
  • Based on a systematic search of the literature
  • Assesses the validity of the included studies
  • All criteria (inclusion, exclusion, etc.) and methods must be transparent
  • Systematic presentation of results
  • Evaluate the quality of the evidence
